He started riding horses at the age of 12 thanks to his parents (especially his father, who was an enthusiast) who allowed him to ride and have his first horses. After winning an Italian junior championship (1992 with Fascia) and placing third two years later (with Irish), he decided that horses were to be his life. Always cheerful and with a smile on his face, Turturiello is living a dream, one that he believed in even in the most difficult moments (…and there were many).
In 2017 Francesco placed 3rd in the Grand Prix and 3rd in the Nations Cup at the CSIO in Al Ain (5*). In 2016, he was part of the team Italy that placed 2nd in the Nations Cup in Rabat (3*) and achieved 6th place in the final GP of the international competition in Dubai riding Quinoa de Pres (at her debut in a World Cup Grand Prix). In 2022, he won a silver medal at the Italian National Show Jumping Championship and in 2023 a bronze medal. In the same year, he made his debut in his first European Championship (Milan San Siro).
